About Progressive Factory
The factory was founded in 2008 in a small garage. This was when students started opening and re-building the first electronic devices. This period of time was as experimental as it is today.
The focus is on finding out new experiments and build new devices particularly in the following topics:
- Sound
- Music
- Visual
- Optical
- Photography
- Video
- Electronic
- Technologies without any limit.
We produce art, develop products & make live preformances.
Our goal is to combine art and science and present it to our audience without any gap between. For the production and inspiration we sometimes reuse stuff that other people throw out, just pretty little rags and bones. Our concept is to produce and present our stuff in an independent and underground way, so we try to apply open source and freeware.
The factory gets their inspiration from various sources – from the early days, people that lived a long time ago or animals, nature, insects and also from recently developed technologies of our time.
